Send an automated message to customers who haven’t made a purchase in a while. You can rekindle their interest by offering recommendations, discount codes, or special offers.
You can find the message under > Marketing > Messages > Add message > Automatic messages
Click Time since last purchase and give the message a name (not visible to customers). Finally, click the Create message button.
Alternatively, you can choose HTML code and add the message template as code.
Message subject
Add a clear and engaging subject line. The subject should clearly indicate what the message contains.
You can also use tags to personalize the subject line, for example by including the recipient’s first name.
Creating the message
Build the message by clicking the Edit button.
In edit mode, you can add new columns and choose content within them, such as text, images, and buttons. You’ll also find options for setting colors, fonts, and other visual styles.
Capture the customer’s interest by including, for example, a discount code [LINK] in the message. Remember to update the discount code occasionally if it has usage limits. Otherwise, it may not work if the customer has already used it once.
Click the Preview button to see how the message will appear to the customer.
Time since last purchase
Choose how long it should have been since the last purchase before the message is sent.
Selecting recipients
By default, it’s recommended to select all customers without targeting.
However, you can also target the message to customers in specific customer groups or use audiences for more advanced targeting. When using audiences, the customer must belong to all selected audiences to be included as a recipient.
Delay
By default, the message should be sent immediately, but you can set a delay that suits your store and target audience.
Publishing
Activate the automated message by clicking the Publish button and confirming the publication once more.
