Registering a domain name

Learn how to register a domain name for your Finqu online store.

Updated over a week ago

What is a domain name?

A domain name is the address of your online store on the internet. On Finqu, you can choose a free address for your store, such as storesname.finqustore.com, but for marketing purposes, it makes sense to register an address that suits your online store better, such as myownstore.com

How to register a domain name

Here's how you can register a domain name in Finqu admin:

  1. Go to Online store > Settings on the left menu.

  2. Click on the Edit button on the Domain section.

  3. Click on the Add domain button.

  4. Next, you can check if the domain is available. Type the domain to the field and click the Search button.

  5. If it's available, you can register the domain by clicking Register button.

  6. Next, check carefully your contact details from the menu on the right. If there's something wrong with the contact details, you can update them by clicking the Update profile button.

  7. From the dropdown menu, choose the online store to which you want to attach the domain.

  8. Approve Finqu's terms of use.

  9. Click the Order and confirm button.

Transferring a domain name to Finqu

If you already have a domain name registered elsewhere, you can transfer it to Finqu by following the instructions in the Transferring a domain to Finqu guide.

Domains hosted elsewhere

If you do not want to transfer your domain name to Finqu, you can redirect it using DNS records. This option is explained in more detail in the Redirecting a domain hosted elsewhere article.

Email address

If you wish, you can order an e-mail address with your own domain name extension, such as e.g. [email protected]. Email addresses are opened manually by Finqu for the time being, so you can contact Finqu's support.
