Sometimes, when using online payment methods, you may encounter a situation where you see a payment has been received, but no corresponding order is available.
This happens when the customer does not return to the store after making the payment, so the store does not receive confirmation of the successful payment. Without confirmation, an order cannot be created, and the customer does not receive an order confirmation email.
The most common causes of this issue are a disrupted internet connection or the customer accidentally closing their browser before returning to the store.
Check saved carts
You can find the cart associated with the payment by navigating to Sales > Carts.
Search the saved carts for one matching the payment and create an order from it. Once the order is created, you can process it as usual.
Always verify that the received payment matches the cart you are using to create the order. Payment details can be found in the payment section of the cart or through the payment service provider’s portal.
