Information and actions
At the top of the page, you’ll find the order number, the order status, and the processing status. Various actions are also available here, and some details update as the order progresses through its lifecycle.
Shopping cart
The shopping cart section displays the full contents of the customer’s order. You can print documents, update the status, and edit or process the order.
Every incoming order must be processed. Processing confirms that the order has been acknowledged and fulfilled. Learn more about order processing.
Customer
The customer section shows contact details, order history, and provides a link to view the customer’s full profile. You can also link an order to a customer account if, for example, the customer forgot to log in before confirming their order.
Payment method
The payment method section displays the payment method selected by the customer and its status. Depending on the method, additional transaction logs may be available.
Please note that it is the order processor’s responsibility to verify the payment. If necessary, confirm the payment by logging into the payment provider’s system (e.g., Klarna or Stripe).
Communication
The Messages sent section lists all emails sent to the customer.
To send a message, click New message. Use the Order-related message template to inquire about the order.
If the customer hasn’t received their order confirmation or download links for digital products, you can resend them using the following templates:
Order received: Order confirmation
Downloadable products: Links to purchased digital products
If the customer still doesn’t receive emails after resending, double-check the email address entered in the order details.
Action log
The Action log section logs customer actions in the store, including adding items to the cart and selecting payment or shipping methods during checkout.
Editing an order
Orders that haven’t been paid for yet (e.g., payment upon in-store pickup) can be edited without issue. Learn more about editing order content.
For paid orders, it’s often easier to cancel the entire order, issue a refund, and ask the customer to place a new order. Learn more about canceling orders.
If you edit a paid order, note that changes will not be automatically reflected with the payment provider. If the total amount changes, any additional charges or refunds must be handled manually through the payment provider’s system or another method.
