All incoming orders must be processed. Processing confirms that an order has been acknowledged and fulfilled. Order processing includes comprehensive features such as editing orders, creating shipments, and communicating with customers.
You can access order processing under Sales > Open order.
Two ways to process an order
Quick processing: Use the Mark as processed button to quickly set an order as processed after selecting its status.
Detailed processing: Use the Process button to carry out a more comprehensive workflow, including creating shipments, printing invoices, packing lists, and other documents, and generating shipping labels.
Process - Order processing and shipment creation
Detailed processing provides advanced tools for shipment management.
Shipping label
You can choose to print a shipping label. The shipping provider and pickup location selected by the customer at checkout are pre-filled to expedite the process.
Note: Generating shipping labels and retrieving carrier details requires installing the application.
Package contents and details
In the Package contents and details section, define the package's contents, dimensions, and weight. The system automatically calculates the weight based on the weights assigned to products. You can modify this manually if needed.
You can save commonly used packaging options by clicking the New packaging link. In the future, you can quickly select the most suitable packaging for a shipment from the saved options.
If all items do not fit into one package, create a multi-package shipment by clicking the New package button and assigning items to separate packages.
Shipping provider
The shipping provider and pickup point selected by the customer at checkout are pre-filled to streamline the process. You can change these details if necessary.
Shipping providers appear once the package dimensions and weight have been entered.
Process and confirm
Finally, select the order status after processing and decide which documents to print immediately (these can also be printed later). When everything is ready, click the Process button to mark the order as processed.
You can also create shipments without processing the order. Learn more about creating shipments.
