Creating a shipment

How to create shipments and generate shipping labels for orders.

Updated over a week ago

Shipments can be created directly from your store’s order management. You can create one or multiple shipments per order and simultaneously generate shipping labels for the packages.

You can access shipment creation under Sales > Open order > Create shipment.

This guide covers shipment creation without processing. When creating a shipment during order processing, the workflow is similar, but selecting a shipping label and carrier is not mandatory.

Package contents and details

In the Package contents and details section, define the package's contents, dimensions, and weight. The system automatically calculates the weight based on the weights assigned to products. You can manually adjust the weight if necessary.

To streamline future shipments, click the New packaging link to save packaging options. Once saved, you can quickly select the most suitable packaging for future shipments.

If the items do not fit into a single package, you can create a multi-package shipment by clicking the New package button and assigning items to separate packages.

Carrier and shipping label

The carrier and pickup location selected by the customer at checkout are pre-filled, expediting the shipment creation process.

Shipping labels are generated based on the delivery method chosen for the order. However, you can change the carrier and pickup location if needed.

Carriers will only appear after the package dimensions and weight have been entered.

Once all details are set, confirm the shipment creation. This will create the shipment and generate a shipping label for the order.

Prerequisites for creating shipments

Generating shipping labels and accessing carrier options requires installing the Carrier app and establishing an agreement with their service.
