Variations represent different versions of the same product, allowing customers to choose the one that suits them best. For example, clothing items often have multiple variations for sizes and colors.
You can manage these options in Products > Add Product.
Creating variations
Variations are created based on attributes, and you can add up to three attributes per product (e.g., color/size/material). Before adding variations, we recommend selecting a product class for the product.
When a product class is selected, a predefined list of suitable attributes will appear. You can pick the attributes you want from this list.
If a product class has not been chosen, you can search through all available attributes or add custom ones.
Custom attributes cannot be used with automatic filters in the online store, so it is recommended to use attributes tied to the product class.
Options
After adding attributes, you can search for predefined colors. Colors can be edited by clicking the edit button or new colors can be added using the add option.
Sizes are available in various formats and can be found using the search function. For instance, searching for "4" will display all sizes containing that number. Sizes can also be edited or new ones created.
Selections will look like this once added. Save the product to automatically create variations.
Saving the product to generate variations
Saving the product will automatically create variations based on the selected attributes. If there are many variations, saving might take a moment.
After saving, variations will be displayed as a list, allowing you to manage them. The list provides options to adjust prices, assign barcodes, and modify other details. By clicking edit, you can access all unique information for each variation.
Mass actions allow you to manage multiple variations at once, such as deleting several at the same time.
Editing variations
In the variation editing view, you can browse and modify details for each variation individually.
Details left in the main product are shared across all variations. Any changes made to the main product will automatically apply to all associated variations.
