B2B features in an online store

When opening a B2B e-commerce store, you should consider the following:

  • Is the online store limited only to specific customers?
In Finqu, you can limit your online store so that only approved customers can make purchases. Instructions on how to do this are below πŸ‘‡

  • Do you want to show prices without taxes?
Generally, for B2B sales, prices are displayed without VAT. Further down on this page, you will learn how to show prices without VAT in your online shop.

Customer account settings

In the section Online Store > Information, you will find a Customer accounts menu, where you can choose who can buy and view products in your online shop. You can choose from the following:

  • Customer accounts are not in use

  • Customer accounts are optional.

  • A customer account is required for making purchases

  • Customer account and merchant approval is required for making purchases

In the case of wholesale, you will usually select option 4, in which case only customers you have explicitly approved can order. In options 3 and 4, you can also choose whether visitors can browse the site before registering.

Managing customers' access

You will be notified whenever a new customer registers in your online store. You can then allow access to the user as follows:

  1. Go to Customers.

  2. Select (tick) the customer to whom you want to grant rights.

  3. Click Bulk actions > Give user rights.

  4. Click Confirm.

You can also remove access later using the Remove user rights mass action if necessary.

Value Added Tax

In the theme settings of your online store, you can choose whether customers see prices with or without VAT. First, go to the theme editor (Online Store > Edit). You will then find the theme settings in the left menu, where you can choose to display prices without taxes.
