The message is sent to customers who have subscribed to back-in-stock notifications. It informs them when the product is available again and encourages them to place an order before it sells out.
You can find the message under > Marketing > Messages > Add message > Automatic messages
Click Restock notification and give the message a name (not visible to customers). Finally, click the Create message button.
Alternatively, you can choose HTML code and add the message template using code.
Message subject
Add a clear and compelling subject line for the message. The subject should clearly state what the message is about.
You can also use tags to personalize the subject line, for example by including the recipient’s first name.
Creating the message
The message is ready to be published right away, and no changes are required. However, you can edit the message by clicking the Edit button.
In edit mode, you can add new columns and choose content within them, such as text, images, and buttons. You’ll also find design settings for colors, fonts, and more.
Make sure to include the Product feature in the message content so that the back-in-stock products are listed in the message.
Click the Preview button to see how the message will look to the customer.
Selecting recipients
By default, it is recommended to select all customers without targeting.
However, you can choose to target specific customer groups or use audiences [LINK] for more refined targeting. When using audiences, the customer must belong to all selected audiences to receive the message.
Delay
It may not be ideal to send the message immediately. You can schedule a delay that suits your store and target audience.
Publishing
Activate the automated message by clicking the Publish button and confirming the publication.

About back-in-stock notifications
You can enable the back-in-stock notification [LINK] feature in the theme, allowing customers to subscribe to product availability updates by email. This works in themes released in 06/2024 or later. Back-in-stock notifications also require the advanced inventory management feature. You can view the feature details of each plan on the homepage.
