You can use tags to organise information in your Finqu account or online store.

What are tags?

Tags allow you to better organize and use you information (products, orders, etc.) in Finqu. Once you've added tags, you can use them for various purposes, such as:

  • Creating lists of specific products in your online store.

  • Restricting payment- or shipping methods.

  • Filter lists in Finqu admin (e.g., in the Sales section).

In this article, you can learn how to add tags and see a few examples of how tags can be used.

How to add tags

You can add tags as shown below. They are added in the same way for products, orders, shopping carts, customers, or wherever else you can add them:

  1. Open the item you want to add a tag to. For example, to add a tag to a product, open the product by going to Products and then clicking on the product name.

  2. Click on the + sign at the top of the page, type in the tag, and press enter.

  3. Click Save.

Adding tags in bulk

You can also add tags using the bulk actions. First, select items from the list (e.g., under Products) and then click Bulk actions > Add Tag.

A field appears at the top of the page where you can set the tag:

  • If this is a new tag, type the tag in the field and press enter.

  • If you have added the tag before, type its name and select it from the menu that appears.

Finally, click Done to confirm the bulk action.

Using tags

Once you have added some tags, you can use them. Here are a few examples of how to use tags:

1. Filtering lists

You can use tags to filter lists in Finqu management, such as Sales or Products. For example, in Products section you can do as follows:

  1. Go to Products.

  2. Open Filters menu and choose Tag.

  3. A new menu will appear where you can choose the tag.

  4. When the tag is chosen, conduct a search by clicking the Search button.

  5. A new filtered list will appear on the page that includes only the products that have the tag you chose.

2. Restricting discounts, payment, or delivery methods

You can use tags to restrict discounts, payment, or delivery methods in your sales channels. For example, go to Settings > Payment methods and open the settings for the payment method you want to use. In the settings, you will find a section called Tags, where you can limit the visibility of a payment method based on tags. For example, you can restrict a payment method so that it is not shown if a customer has a product with a particular tag in their shopping cart.

3. Adding custom lists or carousels to your online shop

You can create custom lists or carousels based on tags. First, go to the theme editor. There, you can add a product list section to the page, and there is usually an option in the product list settings to choose which products to display in the list. You can choose to display only products with a specific tag.
