Product group management

Product groups keep items organized and easy to find.

Updated over a month ago

Product groups arrange your store's selection into clear categories, helping customers navigate and find the products they’re looking for.

You can manage product groups under Products -> Product groups.

Adding a product group

To add a new product group, click the Add product group button.

Product group details

Set the product group name and, optionally, a description and image.

Position determines the order in which the product group appears in the list. Lower numbers place the group higher.

SEO settings

  • Search engine title appears in Google search results as the title.

  • Search engine description provides search engines with additional details about the group.

  • Page name in URL determines the URL where customers can find the group. For example, a "Dresses" group might appear as ...product-group/dresses.

  • Keywords are not widely used by search engines anymore, but they may be useful for your store’s internal search. Separate multiple keywords with commas, e.g., "keyword1, keyword2."

In Online Store section, you can select which filters appear for the product group in listings and, if desired, choose a different theme layout for a unique look.

Best practices

Product groups enable versatile product listings. Create groups based on type, price, season, category, target audience, or any other relevant factor.

For example, offer groups such as "Women," "Dresses," "Summer," "Beach," "Weekly Deals," and "Under $100."

Sub-groups

Sub-groups can be managed from the store’s admin panel. Build varied menus using product groups, pages, and other content by setting up navigations.
