Anonymizing order
Anonymizing order

In case a customer wants to, you can anonymize an order in Finqu admin, i.e. remove the customer's data from the order.

What does anonymization mean?

According to the European Union's General Data Protection Regulation, a person has the right to have their data erased from a register. The Customers and Orders sections of your online store are registers that contain your customers' personal data.

In Finqu, an Anonymise function on the order page allows the merchant to remove customer data from the order if they wish.

Please note, however, that accounting laws or other regulations may require data to be retained for a certain period. It is, therefore, always a good idea to check on a case-by-case basis whether the data can be deleted.

How to anonymize an order

  1. Go to Sales.

  2. Find and open the order you want to anonymize.

  3. Click Anonymize.

  4. Read the message carefully, and if you can remove the data, click on Anonymise.

Deleting a customer account

Anonymizing an order does not remove the customer's details from the customer register. These must be deleted separately in the Customers section of the administration.
