Customizations enable customers to personalize a product. For example, if you sell shirts with custom prints, you can add a text field for customers to enter their own text and a dropdown menu to select the font.
Access customizations under Products -> Add product -> Customizations.
Adding a customization
To add new customizations, go to Select and attach to product. You can add new customizations or reuse existing ones across multiple products.
You can edit customization options or remove them from a product under Manage. Any changes to options will affect all products using that customization.
Types of customizations
Customizations vary by type, depending on the selection needed:
Dropdown menu: Shows a list of options, with one selection allowed. Ideal when there are more than three options.
Radio button: Displays all options in a list, allowing one selection.
Checkbox: A yes/no type choice, useful for optional add-ons.
Text field: Allows customers to enter custom text, ideal for inputs like engravings or gift messages.
