Google reCAPTCHA

Google reCAPTCHA ensures that visitors to your site are real people, protecting your store’s registration and other forms from malicious bots.

Updated this week

reCAPTCHA helps with:

  • Preventing numerous suspicious customer accounts with fake names from registering on your store.

  • Blocking strange, potentially fraudulent messages from being sent via the contact form.

  • Filtering out suspicious email addresses from your newsletter list.

For more information, visit Google reCAPTCHA.

Getting started with reCAPTCHA

  1. Sign in to your Google account (if you’re not already signed in).

  2. Enter your store’s name in the Label field.

  3. Select the reCAPTCHA v3 version.

  4. Enter your store’s web address in the Domains section. Write only the domain in the format yourstorename.fi

  5. Click Submit.

Adding reCAPTCHA to your store

  1. After setting up reCAPTCHA, you’ll be directed to a page showing your keys under reCAPTCHA keys (site key / secret key).

  2. In your store’s management, go to Online Store > Settings > Other.

  3. Copy the site key / secret key into the Google reCAPTCHA section.

  4. Click Save.

Your forms now include bot detection. While reCAPTCHA may not block all bots, it significantly reduces spam-related issues.
