Installing the app

You can start using Paypal in Finqu by installing the Paypal app in Finqu's app store. For further details, see the How to use apps article.

Adding the payment method

When the app is installed, you can add the payment method to your online store:

  1. Click the Choose button next to Paypal.

  2. Fill in the Client ID and the Secret key to the fields on the page. (You can generate these credentials in Paypal, see the instructions below).

  3. Click Save.

Generating credentials in Paypal

  1. Create a new application by clicking the Create App button on the REST API apps section.

  2. In the details of the app you've created, you can find the Client ID and the Secret key.

IMPORTANT: Set the app to Live mode from the Live/Sandbox switch before you copy the credentials to Finqu. Only live credentials allow you to receive payments from your customer.

Testing

It's good to place at least one test purchase in your store using Paypal so that you can make sure it works correctly. If you face issues in your test purchase, please check:

  • that the Client ID and Secret key are correct,

  • and you have added all the required information on Paypal's end, such as the company name, account number, etc.)
