If you already have a domain, you can simply point it to your store. This way, you continue managing the domain in its current location, and by only updating the DNS settings, your store will appear at the correct address.
Pointing an externally managed domain
Go to Online Store > Settings.
Click Edit in the Domain section.
Click Domain redirection.
Enter the domain with www or another prefix (e.g.,
www.examplestore.com
).In the Required name services section, you’ll see the DNS records that must be added to your domain. If you’re unsure how to make these changes, check your domain provider’s support pages or contact their customer service for assistance.
Click the Link button in Finqu to finish connecting your domain.
Please note that the domain redirect is always done using a CNAME record and must include www or another prefix.
Incorrect DNS settings
If the DNS settings are incorrect, you’ll see a notification under Domains and can correct them as directed. Once correct, you can select the domain for use.
Selecting the store address
Finally, go to Domains, select the redirected domain, and save. Your store will now appear at the selected address.
How to redirect the root address (without www prefix)
It’s possible to redirect an address without the www prefix to your store, but this must be done through your domain provider. Finqu cannot provide an A record for this redirect.
