Sections: Ad Collages

How to build content using ad collages.

Updated over 10 months ago

Ad collages are one of many pre-designed sections for adding content to your online store pages. With ad collages, you can create eye-catching image groups and design attractive customer journeys to products, product categories, manufacturers, or other relevant content in your store.

Ad collages include an image, text, button, and link. Only the image is required, and you’re free to choose which additional elements to display for each ad.

You can find these sections in Online Store > Edit Theme.

Ad Collage Items

Add new ads by clicking the Add Ad button. To arrange ads, grab the three-line icon on the right and move the ad up or down in the list.

To edit an ad’s content, click the ad in the list.

Adding an Image

First, click the Add Image button.

In the file browser, click Upload Image File and select an image from your computer. Upload the largest, highest-quality version available.

Alternatively, choose from thousands of professional, free images under Browse Free Images.

Select your uploaded image and click the Select button.

If the image appears blurry in the store, it may be due to low quality or small size. In that case, upload a higher-quality image.

Adding a Link

Add a link from the ad’s Button section. Click Add Link to see a list of possible link targets.

If there are many options, type a keyword in the search field to find your target more easily.

If you don’t want a button over the image but still want a link, leave the button text blank (remove the Shop Now text).

If needed, remove the link by clicking the X icon.

Collage Settings

Content Settings adjust general settings for all ads in the collage.

Section Settings adjust the surroundings of the ads, including background color and image, spacing to the next section, and header options.

Stack Different Ad Collages

As a tip, you can stack various ad collages on a page. This allows you to create multiple layouts with ease.

Ensuring Consistent Spacing between Sections

If needed, adjust the empty space between sections to make the collages look like a single section. Find this adjustment in Section Settings > Spacing > Custom; set it to 0 and check the preview in the editor.

Publishing or Discarding Changes

The Save button will appear highlighted when there are unsaved changes. You can publish the changes to your store by clicking the Save button.

Before saving, you can also discard changes. Go back one change at a time using the left-facing arrow or discard all changes to the previous save point using the Draft button.
