Finqu's Tags feature allows you to perform multiple tasks. For example, you can:

  • Create a product list or product carousel of the tagged products.

  • Restrict campaigns, payment- and shipping methods for tagged products or customers.

  • Filter lists with tags in the admin panel.

In this article, you'll learn how to add tags to products, customers, and orders. We will also look at some practical examples of where you can use them.

Adding tags

Adding new tags is simple. Just open a product, order, or customer and click the sign at the top of the page. Write the tag into the field and press enter on your keyboard.

If you have used the same tag earlier, you can choose it from the menu like this:

Adding tags with bulk actions

You can also add tags by using bulk actions. First, choose the items on the list and go to Bulk actions > Tag. A sign will appear on the right, where you can insert the tag.

  • If it is a new tag, type the tag into the field and press enter.

  • If you've added the tag before, type it and choose it from the menu.

Finally, execute the bulk action by clicking Done.

The bulk action also removes the tags that are not selected.

Here's an example:

1. Product already includes tag sustainable.
2. You add another tag to the product by using a bulk action.
3. It will add the new tag and remove the old sustainable tag if it is not selected when committing the bulk action.

In other words, you should always select all the tags that you want to keep.

Using tags

After you have added some tags, you can start using them. Here are some examples of how to use tags:

1. Filter lists

Tags help you to organize information in Finqu and find things easier. For example, you can filter the product list using tags like this:

Filters return all the products with at least one of the chosen tags. If you need to make a more specific search, you can also write the tags into the search field like the animation below. Then the search will return only the products that match all the tags.

2. Restricting campaigns, payment- or shipping methods

You can use tags to restrict campaigns, payment- or shipping methods in your sales channels.

Below you can see an example of restricting a general discount to items that match the sustainable tag. If necessary, you can also create an opposite restriction by using the Not available menu. In that case, it will restrict the campaign to items that do not match the selected tag.

3. Adding custom lists or carousels to the online store

You can create custom lists or carousels of tagged products in your online store. Below you can see an example of adding a list of tagged products. Choose Tag products as the list type and then write the tag into the Tag field.
