If you don't want the product to be sold in certain situations, you can set restrictions on it. Restrictions can be based on country, delivery method, or customer groups.
How to add restrictions
Go to the Products section.
Open the product that you want to restrict.
Choose the restrictions in the Restrictions section.
The online store automatically recognizes the customer's country and hides the product from the countries you selected in the country restriction menu. Customers can also choose their country manually when registering a customer account or leaving their contact details on the checkout page.
Delivery method restriction
The delivery method restriction restricts the chosen delivery methods on the checkout page (if the customer has added the product to the shopping cart). You can set this limit also in the delivery method's settings.
By default, the restricted delivery method is not visible on the checkout page. But if you want to, you can change the settings of the checkout page so that the delivery method is shown, but customers cannot select it. It also shows a small notification text explaining why the customer cannot select it.
Customer group restriction
The customer group restriction hides the product from the chosen customer groups. Note that it also restricts the product from those customers who are not logged in to the store. That's because the online store cannot know whether the customer belongs to the group if they are not logged in.
