Sometimes a website's URL addresses can change, for example, if you are migrating your online store to Finqu. If that's the case, it's best to redirect the old URLs to the new ones. Otherwise, your site's visitors including Google won't know the location of the new pages.

You can find the redirects feature by following these steps:

  1. Go to Online store > Settings.

  2. Click Define redirects.

Adding redirects one-by-one

If you want to add redirects one at a time, follow these steps:

  1. Click Add.

  2. Fill in the fields (From URL and To URL address).

  3. Click Confirm.

Adding multiple redirects with a CSV file

If you need to add several redirects simultaneously, you can use a CSV file:

  1. Click Upload CSV.

  2. Choose the CSV file from your device.

  3. The redirects will appear on the page after they are fetched from the CSV.

The CSV should contain two columns. The first column is the old URL and the second one is the new URL. The columns are separated with a comma (,) and each row includes one redirect.

Here's an example:

and so on...

Do not add the domain name to the CSV file. For example, if you are redirecting page, add only the-page-address to the CSV file.

Removing redirects

You can remove redirects by following these steps:

  1. Select the redirects that you want to remove.

  2. Click Bulk actions > Delete.

  3. Click Remove.

Redirects might still remain in customers' browsers. Redirects will be removed from customers' browsers automatically after some time has passed. If a customer has trouble accessing a certain page, you could ask them to try another browser or device.
