Tips for creating product groups
You can organize your products into several product groups. When creating groups, it is helpful to think about which words or phrases your customers might be using when looking for your products online. A good group name and description always help your customers (and Google) understand what kind of products your online store has.
You can also create multiple levels of product groups. For example, if you sell clothes, you could create main groups such as Women, Children, or Men, and underneath those, you can add subgroups such as Women's shirts or Skirts.

Product group details
While adding a new product group, you can fill in the following details to it:
Position in product groups -menu lets you choose where the product group is located in the product group menu. If you select the Main level, the product group will be one of your store's main product groups. If you choose one of the product groups you have created earlier, it will be a subgroup for the selected product group.
Name and Description. In these fields, you can write the name and the description of the product group. It's always worth paying some attention to these to match closely what your customers are looking for.
SEO Meta description. Set a meta description for search engines. A good length for a meta description is approximately 150 - 160 characters.
SEO Title. A title for search engines. A good length is 50 - 60 characters.
Keywords. You can define keywords that your customers might use when they search the products. Separate keywords with commas (e.g., keyword1, keyword2, etc.) Note that search engines don't really use these keywords anymore. What comes to SEO, it's always better to concentrate on the titles and descriptions.
Page name in the URL -field's content is shown at the end of the URL in your online store (e.g., storesname.com/category/this-is-the-name).
From the Status menu, you can choose whether the product group is visible or not in your store.
Select image -button lets you choose an image for your product group. Notice that your online store's theme defines how and where product group images are shown on the page.
