What is a digital product
In Finqu, you can mark the product as a Digital product. In practice, it means that the customer doesn't have to choose a delivery method (such as post parcel) on the checkout page. Instead of that, the customer only needs to confirm the order. After that, the product can be delivered digitally.
If you are selling PDF files (less than 10 megabytes), you can create your own automated message to your online store, which sends the file automatically to the customer.
Start by going to Settings > Prints and messages > Messages.
Click Add message.
Type the name of the message and choose the template (e.g., Message related to order).
Set the Message name.
Click Choose files in the Attachments section.
Choose the files from your device.
In the Message delivery settings, select Send automatically when... Order was confirmed.
Select Order from the Order type menu.
Select Received from the Order status menu.
Select the digital product from the Product menu.
Other file types or videos
You can deliver other types of digital products manually when you fulfill orders. You can, e.g., upload the file to a cloud service (such as Google Drive, Apple iCloud, or Microsoft OneDrive). In those services, you can generate a download link and send that to the customer. If the file is a video, you can upload it, for example, to Vimeo or YouTube and share it with the customer. Videos can be published privately to be accessed only with a direct link to the video. In Vimeo, you can also add password protection to the video.
