What is a general discount?
A general discount is a campaign that allows you to add discounts to several products simultaneously. You can restrict the campaign to affect, for example, only a certain product group or a certain customer group.
How to add a general discount
Go to Campaigns > Add a campaign.
Choose a General discount from the Campaign type menu.
Set campaign's Status (pink = active, grey = inactive).
Set a name for the campaign.
Set the discount in percentages. Type a positive number. For example, if you want to add a 10% discount, type 10 into the field.
Choose the date range (From and To) when you want the campaign to be valid.
Set the Restrictions to the campaign. With restrictions, you can choose which products will be discounted.
Click Save.
Remember restrictions
Always remember to set restrictions on your campaign. If there are no restrictions, the campaign will give a discount on all products.
